“Apex” Review
Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton have a creepy kind of chemistry that works in a creepy kind of way, right up until the point where the creepy mask is unceremoniously removed and the “cunning killer” gets to playing his most dangerous game. The scenery is gorgeous and seems real, though now I have to do actual research to say they actually did anything in the real world and it wasn’t all just some computer generated landscape that’s made a nearly perfect simulation of what the river would look like.
Not going to have a good time if you’re not comfortable with heights through, it opens with a hike up the Troll Wall and ends with a flight up an impossibly brittle rock climb.
