“Halloween” Review

| Amazon

Directed by John Carpenter. With Donald Pleasence, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tony Moran, Nancy Kyes. Fifteen years after murdering his sister on Halloween night 1963, Michael Myers escapes from a mental hospital and returns to the small town of Haddonfield, Illinois to kill again.

A relatively uneventful horror film, great soundtrack, and use of meditative breathing by Mike. This could be summed up as “boring guy goes home and tries to kill his sister” but because it’s John Carpenter, even the most boring film can be made interesting.

I should note that this is my first memory of watching this film, I never did horror films as a kid and have only recently thought to watch them now that I’m a full grown adult man without parents.
