“Seeking a Friend for the End of the World” Review

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World: Directed by Lorene Scafaria. With Steve Carell, Keira Knightley, Adam Brody, Connie Britton. As an asteroid nears Earth, a man finds himself alone after his wife leaves in a panic. He decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart. Accompanying him is a neighbor who inadvertently puts a wrench in his plan.

An emotional and emotionally draining look at how people deal with the sudden and inevitable news that everything is going to end for pretty much everyone. Some people run from it, some people drug their way through it, and others look for people to be with when it all happens. There were a few story points that I wasn’t expecting and was pleasantly surprised with the final resolution.
