“The Blackening” Review

The Blackening: Directed by Tim Story. With Grace Byers, Jermaine Fowler, Melvin Gregg, X Mayo. Seven friends go away for the weekend and end up trapped in a cabin with a killer who has a vendetta. Will their street smarts and knowledge of horror movies help them stay alive? Probably not.

I expected it to be a racially insensitive horror comedy and that’s pretty much what we got, though I didn’t find the attempts at humor to be all that effective.
