“Promising Young Woman” Review

Directed by Emerald Fennell. With Carey Mulligan, Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Clancy Brown. A young woman, traumatized by a tragic event in her past, seeks out vengeance against those who crossed her path.

I didn’t know that Bo Burnham was going to be here, neither Alison Brie, so it was a pleasant surprise to see them both, but I died just a little inside when I realized what it meant when we were first introduced to them. There’s a clear direction that the film goes in, and it gets to it’s logical conclusion but in a way that I didn’t exactly see coming, so it was an entertaining film right up to the last scene.
