A delightfully low budget science fiction film from 1979 based on a story by Orson Welles written in 1933. The science doesn’t hold up even in the slightest and the story might as well be about an isolated town in the mid west that’s been taken over by a mustache twirling villain who’s taken over the entire town and run off the local sheriff.
It was still an enjoyable film with an energetic 70’s disco soundtrack, impressive miniture work, spaceships that look like pizza cutters, killer robots, and fantastic 70’s retro future fashion choices. I have some issues with the ending, but I’m sure I likely just missed something in the story that would explain it.Favorite This!
